She was predeceased by: her husband Ross Johnston; her siblings, Laura, Beatrice, Earl and Harvey; and her parents, Bert Newton and Charlotte "Lottie" Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley-Ann Ayres (Bob) and Betty-Ann Heuvel (Tim); her grandchildren, Gordie (Tina), Jeff Thompson (Marcia) and Cody Heuvel (Kelsey); and her sister Margorie Richard of British Columbia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
