He was predeceased by: his parents, Wietze Vanderhoek and Sijke Vanderhoek; his parents-in-law, George and Emily Short; his siblings, Gerry Vanderhoek (Grace), Mike Vanderhoek and Ray Vanderhoek (Hilda); and his brother-in-law Roy Short.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Vanderhoek; and his sibling-in-law Daryle Short (Gloria).
