George Jacob Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Jacob (Strathroy, Ontario), who passed away on October 18, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Thankamma George. He is survived by: his friend Achacha; his children, Gail and Benoy; his children-in-law, Scott and Angela; his grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, Nicholas, Amelia and Lilah; his sisters, Ammini Mathai and Saramma George; and his wife Kunjandamma (Molly).

He was a sports-enthusiast and active man, still playing badminton weekly; when Covid turned the world on its head, he had to let go of badminton, but diligently continued to do what he could to stay active: gardening, yard work, daily walks -- whatever it took.

Tithing to the church, giving to charity and helping complete strangers in need were endeavours in which he regularly engaged; his belief was that if he had the means to help, he had a responsibility to do so.
