He was predeceased by: his wife Gail; his stepson Jason; his sibling Billie Fidler of Strathroy; and his parents, Frank Fidler and Hazel Fidler.

He is survived by: his children, Chris Fidler of Strathroy, Treena Fidler, Tammy Harmsworth of Morinville, Rob Rovers of Rockwood, Aaron and Jen Fidler of Morinville, Alberta.; his grandchildren, Sonia "Toni" Rovers (Kevin), Marley Rovers (Shawn), Gregery Rovers (Lena), Edwin Devine (Brett), Reese Fidler and Abbey Fidler (Jayden); his great grandchild Greysen Kopey; and his siblings, Lee, Vic Hamilton of Toronto and Jim. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
