She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio Freitas Duarte; and her sibling Conceicao Veira. She is survived by: her sons, Joe (Donna) and Mike Duarte; her great grandchildren, Logan, Gwen, Blake, Caraline, Evelyn and Kellan; her sister Lourdes Brum; her godchild Fatima Melo (Victor); and her cousin Azores. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews.
