Eleanore Georgina Sobiech Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanore Georgina Sobiech (Strathroy, Ontario), who passed away on September 20, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eleanore Georgina Sobiech to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Don Sobiech; her stepson Scott Sobiech; her parents, Eleanore Jean Galbraith (Campbell) and William Arch Galbraith (Bill); and her uncle John Kenneth Galbraith (Ken).

She is survived by: her cousins, Alan, Peter and Jamie; her brothers, Jerry (Bev) and Ron Galbraith (Lynda); her stepchildren, Greg Sobiech (Donna), Mark Sobiech (Danielle) and Trina Friedman (late Mo); her grandson Andrew Sobiech (Michelle); her great grandchild Henry; her nieces and nephews, Leslie (Rob), Lindsay Galbraith, Scott and Jason Galbraith (Erin); and her cousins, Neil Campbell (Marilyn), Sharon Atkinson (Gerald), Helen Campbell (late Don Campbell), Phil Campbell (Linda), Don Page and Jack Page.

Georgia returned to her beloved Canada in 2020 just prior to the Covid-19 lockdown. We were lucky to have her here during the pandemic, but unfortunately that robbed her of enjoying family and life itself for almost two years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Georgia's name to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
