He was predeceased by: his parents, Klaas Vanderheyden and Annie Vanderheyden. He is survived by: his daughter Laura Vanderheyden; his grandsons, Jack and Lucas; and his siblings, Robert Vanderheyden (Ian), Ken Vanderheyden (Joanne), Gwen Vanderheyden and Sue Bork (Fred).
