He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nelson and Aleta Nelson (Palmer); his sister Winona Loree; his brother-in-law Stuart Loree; and his sister Lois Litwiller.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his sons, Geoffrey (Heidi) of Brantford and Michael (Susan) of Mitchell; his grandchildren, Mackenzie (Mallory), Chloe (Greg), Tabitha, Celia (Joshua), Hannah (Malakai), Leah, Sarah, Rebekah, Josiah, Mya and Julia; and his great grandchildren, Bailey and Theodore. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
