He was predeceased by: his mother Leona; his grandparents, John and Ethel Shyne; and his aunts and uncles, Walter, Marg Shyne, Bill and Ruby Dick.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Trotter (Dick); his daughters, Melissa (Gerald) and Kelsi (Brandon); his aunt Janice; his siblings-in-law, Bryan (Trudy) and Dianne (Arn); and his pets, Axel and Dexter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and Cousins.
