He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean Rae (Smith); his parents, George Sangster and Mae Sangster; and his brother Donald William. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan (Steve Lindsay), Donna (Bill Brown) and Beth (John Macintyre); his grandchildren, Sarah (John), Donald (Jessica), David (Christa), Laura and Peter; and his great grandchildren, Henry and Caroline. He is also survived by nephews and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Avondale Cemetery (4 Avondale Ave, Stratford, ON N5A6M4). A reception will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home Reception Centre (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7).
