Philip Arthur Walters Obituary

Philip Arthur Walters, age 79, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, May 26, 2023 doing what he thoroughly enjoyed, gardening. Born in Sarnia, Ontario, son of the late Chris and Mabel (Courtney) Walters. Beloved husband of 53 years to Lucy (Skarzynski) Walters and loving father of Christine and fiancé (Andre Clark). Philip will be fondly remembered by his brother and his wife David (Maureen) Walters, his sister-in-law Barbara Skarzynski, and his brother-in-law and his wife George (Patricia) Skarzynski and along with nieces and nephews.

Philip happily enjoyed his retirement years by gardening, listening to classical music, voraciously reading, and following the Toronto Blue Jays.

Besides his parents, Philip was predeceased by his sister-in-law Teresa (Niejadlik) and her husband (Henry).

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. A time of fellowship, food and refreshments will follow in the reception centre. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or MS Society through the funeral home website.
