The passing of Michael Oye (Stratford, Ontario) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 72. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Sheila Whittaker; his parents, Masaye Oye and Sannosuke Oye; his brother Sammy; his granddaughter Amanda; and his parents-in-law, Bernice and Hollis Steeves.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his daughter Michelle Semak (Eric); his granddaughter Miranda Semak (James); his siblings, Gerry Oye (Donna), Kay Foster (Larry), Marie Suehiro (Joe) and Patricia McFarlane (Alistair); and his sister-in-law Gail Malcolm (Bill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and several special lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
