He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Whalen and Eva Whalen (Lewis); his wife Theresa (Padacz); and his siblings, Timothy, Ann Thistle and David.
He is survived by: his son Patrick Whalen; his siblings, Wayne (Jessie), Joan Smith (Verne), Carol Lease, Jan Little, Brenda Whalen, Barbara McKone (Michael Wood) and Angela Whalen; and his siblings-in-law, Stan Padacz (Nancy), Rose Padacz (David) and Peter Padacz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7).
