He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonius Segeren and Anna Segeren; his son Jim (Lorie); his son-in-law Larry (Melissa); and his siblings, Sjaan, Cor, Adrie and Harry.

He is survived by: his wife Cornelia "Corrie" Segeren; his children, Marianne Smith (Ralph), Melissa Dawson (Danny), Mike, John (Tracey) and Melanie Segeren (Andre); his grandchildren, Everett (Charlene), Curtis (Jennifer), Jennifer (James), Brock (Laura), Josh (Christy), Allison (Karl), Brittany (Aaron), Brad (Chelsea), Jamie (Kalie), Brendan (Carly), Lindsay (Jesse), Jonathan, Lauren, Kristen, Daan and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Ella, Herman, Jack, Kade, Anna, Jacob, Braxton, Archie, Westley, Fiona, Adrian, Julianne, James, Clara and Finley; and his daughter-in-law Lorie Talbot (Rick). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several in-laws.
