He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Boonstra and Petronella Boonstra; his in-laws, Lloyd and Frances Drinkwalter; his sister Anne Marie Radko; and his sons-in-law, Gary Lingelbach and Steve Keeler.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Leanne Keeler, Barb Lingelbach, Tina Spence (Shawn) and Derek Boonstra (Rachael); his grandchildren, Eric, Jordan (Cassandra), Brooke (Trevor), Abbey (Matt), Kyle, Lucas (Bea), Samantha, Nicole (Gord), Max (Kate), Mason (Laura), Michael, Declan and Cainan; his great grandchildren, Clara, Myles, Natalie, Quinn, Grayson and Hallie; his siblings, Frank Boonstra (Connie), Mary Rose Stanchuk (Bud) and Peter Boonstra (Jane); and his brother-in-law Larry Radko.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Open House.
