He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Leyser and Maria Leyser; his former wife Lois (McLeod); his stepdaughter Sharon Cook; his great grandchild Grayson; his siblings, Henry Leyser, Mary Van Herk (Peter) and Christine Small (Wallace); his sister-in-law Grace McLeod; and his parents-in-law, Ray Brock and Erna McLeod.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn (Brock); his children, Brian (Donna), Brady, Linda Hutchison (Bruce), Carolyn Klomp (Jeff), Meagan DeWetering and Stacey Noel (Andre); his grandchildren, Olivia (Kyler), Lindsay (Jeff), Erica (James), Amanda (Mike), Tascha (Zan), Blakely, Odin and Ivy; his siblings-in-law, Frances Leyser, Ken McLeod, Mary Anne Soucy (Michel), Rose Saccomano (Rick), Sandra Brock, Karen Carnale (Tony), Bill Brock (Joanne) and Marg Swatridge; and his mother-in-law Mary Brock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
