He was predeceased by: his parents, David Aitcheson and Catherine Aitcheson (Kay); his parents-in-law, Marcel and Mildred Van Damme; and his brother-in-law Grant Van Damme.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine (Lori); his son Greg Aitcheson (Lisa); his grandchildren, Mason, Audrey, Bennett, Catherine, Jack, Charlie and Emma; his siblings, George (Tarry), Grace (Terry) and Murray (Nellie); and his sister-in-law Michele (Paul). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Downie Optimist Community Centre (3185 County Rd 122, Saint Pauls Station, ON N0K1V0).
