He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilliard Shular and Jessie Shular (Dean); and his parents-in-law, Deloris and Murray Rittinger. He is survived by: his wife Susanne Shular (Rittinger); his sons, James and Patrick Shular of Stratford; his siblings, Barbara Crovetto (John) of Waterloo, Robert Shular (Pauline) of Sauble Beach, Allan Shular (Lubi) of Kitchener and Cathy Rhodes (Ryan); and his siblings-in-law, Michael Rittinger (Linda) of Waterloo, Douglas Rittinger (Deb) of Brighton, Patrick Rittinger (Paul) of Mildmay, Christine Innes of Woodstock and Anthony Rittinger (Lisa) of Kitchener. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
