He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Howard and Jean Eva Bird (Cameron); his close friend Violet Bird (Rawn); and his son David Bird. He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Whidden (Tony) of Goderich; his grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah and Marjorie; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Logan, Abigail and Carter.
