He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lyoness and Elizabeth Lyoness; his son Ron Lyoness; his grandson Jay Lichti; and his siblings, Marguerite Smith, Edyth Davidson, Jean Bain, Edna Templeton, Florence Thistle and Bruce Lyoness.
He is survived by: his wife June (Bloomfield); his children, Judy Scott, Richard, John (Diane), Doug (Gina), Sherri Lichti (Randy) and Jim (Meg); and his brother-in-law Don Bloomfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
