He was predeceased by: his parents, Estelle Leslie and James Henry; and his sister-in-law Lynn Buxton. He is survived by: his wife Susan Nilsson-Buxton; his children, Courteney (Evren), Kyle (Shayna) and Kaitlyn (Sam); his grandchildren, Zeren and Kaia; his siblings, Bruce (Wendy) and Jennifer; his nieces and nephews, Stefanie, Charlotte, Alistair, Cody (Jasmina) and Brett; his sister-in-law Sharon (Curtis); and his parents-in-law, Hans (Terri) and Patricia.
In lieu of flowers, it was Grant's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to any of the following: London Health Science Centre (Kidney Care Centre), London Diabetes Association, the Trillium Gift of Life Network or to Stratford Youth Soccer Association. Any donations for Stratford Youth Soccer Association can only be made by cheque made payable to Stratford Youth Soccer Association, and forwarded to W.G. Young Funeral Home.
