Florence Clifford Obituary
At Toronto Grace Hospital on August 8, 2017. Florence Clifford, in her 94th year. Born in West Zorra Township, daughter of the late Joseph and Hannah Clifford (nee O'Flaherty). Flo was a lady of strong faith and incredible generosity. She was predeceased by her sisters Helen, Marie, Anna, and Margaret and her brothers Jack and Fred.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as great great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Vicki and Vitalis, Flo's caregivers, for the exceptional care, compassion and comfort that they provided for both Flo and the family over the past several years. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Dr. Whitehead, Dr. Spanner, Dr. Lee and Dr. Thompson as well as all of the nurses and support staff on the palliative ward at Toronto Grace Hospital.
We are grateful as well for the comfort provided to Flo and the family by chaplain Major Marie Hollett. The sincere kindness and concern of the entire interdisciplinary team, which includes doctors, nurses, social workers, spiritual care workers and housekeepers who work so well together, will never be forgotten. Flo received the best possible care imaginable by this compassionate team.
In keeping with Flo's wishes, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street Stratford Ontario, on Saturday, August 19th at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Flo's memory can be made to The Daily Mass on Vision TV through their website http://www.canadiandailymass.com or by calling 1-888-383-6277.
