It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Boersen (Stratford, Ontario), who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Emma Boersen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henk Boersen; her grandchildren, Travis (Kristen), Calvin (Maria), Tanya, Leah (Alec), Krista (Cole), Adam, Alex (Clara), Nicholas (Catherine), Mitchel, Adriana, Sydney, Mackenzie, Jillian, Remy, Leo and Camille; her siblings, Margaret Van Nes (Bill), Ben, Charlie, Mary, Helen Terpstra and Patricia Armstrong; and her in-laws, John (Judy), Bert, Tony, Johan, Ted (Martina), Dora Olsthoorn (Adrian), Betty Gras (Andre), Joan Oud (Peter), Renelda Boersen, Peter Bokkers and Joe Vlasman.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne Brekelmans (Francis), Roger (Tracey), Janice Danen (Chris) and Kim Boersen-Gladman (Jeff); her siblings-in-law, Gerry Boersen, Aleida Vlasman, Annie Bokkers, Ann, Liz, Viola Boersen, Hennie and Catherine Terpstra; and also, Julie VanBakel (Martin), Herman Terpstra (Rosemary), Joe Terpstra (Miriam), Joanne DeBrabandere and Mike.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (96 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5S6).
