It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eileen Yantzi (Stratford, Ontario), who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Gerber and Idella Gerber; her sister Audrey (Paul Schlegel); her brother-in-law Lorne Gerber; her parents-in-law, Joseph, Emma Yantzi, Hubert, Dorothy Yantzi, Kenneth and Alma Yantzi; and also, Violetta and Oscar Borntrager.
She is survived by: her husband Orlin Yantzi; her children, Sandra (Christopher), Thomas (Katherine), Sherry (Bernard), Terrance (Emma) and Jennifer (Steven); her grandchildren, Gretchen (Jessica), Elizabeth, Emma, Jonathan (Allison), Alexandra (Victoria), Nicholas (Jacqueline), Samuel (Elysia), Joel, Thomas and Lauren; her great grandchildren, Theodore, Nadiya and Remy; her sister Viola Gerber; her siblings-in-law, Earl Yantzi and Alma Conn; and her friends, Manny and Mary Ellen Brubacher.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home Reception Centre (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7).
