He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dakin and Ada Dakin; and his grandson Graham Dakin. He is survived by: his children, John Dakin (Kim), Greg Dakin and Dawn Marie Runstedler (John); his grandchildren, Brianne Dakin, Lainie, Addison Spencer, Daniel, Emily Dakin, Ben Runstedler Rachel (Kyla), Michelle Helder (Zack) and Mike Runstedler; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Owen Doyle, Everett Steever, James, Levi, Nicholas Carter and Noah Helder.
