He is survived by: his children, Robyn Cole (Paul) of Wingham, ON., Andrew Gray (Manu) of Belgium and Corinna Merkley of Stratford, ON.; his grandchildren, Codi Mitchell, Brayden Mitchell (Chelsea), Devin Lovell, Kaitlyn Lovell, Eva Gray and Norah Gray; his great grandchildren, Nathan Gabriscek, Mason Mitchell and Logan Mitchell; and his siblings, John Merkley (Ruth), Ralph Merkley, Frank Merkley (Debbie), Dale Handy and Wayne Merkley. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
