He was predeceased by: his brother Canon Allan Meakin; his sisters-in-law, Geraldine, Asalyn and Jean; and his niece Jennifer.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Meakin; his children, Julie Meakin (Giorgio), Dr. Heather Meakin and Honorary; his grandchildren, Rina and Cedric Koga-Tse; and his siblings, Donald, Diana and Geoffrey Meakin (DoraLynn).
