With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Al Smith of Stratford, Ontario, who passed away on March 11, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Margaret Smith (Falkner); his former wife Dayle Smith (Page); his daughter Elaine Vollmer; his stepchildren, Jennifer Meloche, Amy Ramsay (Terry) and Andrew Wiper; his grandchildren, Erin Vollmer, Craig Vollmer, Tara Zaruk (Devan), Beau (Andrea), Daniel, Tayte, Cassandra (Horasher), ShaShanah, Gregory, Jonathan (Rianna), Laurissa (Musa), Breckin, Arianna and Bentley; his great grandchildren, Emberlee and Atticus; his sister Lois Smith; his son Sgt. Kelly Smith; his sister Lorraine Raymond; and his son-in-law David Vollmer.
He is survived by: his wife Loralee Smith (Williams).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7).
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada through the funeral home.
