He is survived by: his children, Jessica Borges (Paulo) and Eric; and his siblings, Ron (Alice), Shirley Matchett (Earl), Shelley Chiasson and Ken Chiasson. He is also survived by his nephew and nieces, their spouses and children.

Donations made in Weir's name to either Diabetes Canada or The Kidney Foundation of Canada will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
