He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gertrude and Jack; his spouse Annie Kaleta; his child Matthew (Deanna Deys); his siblings, John (Susan Newton), Lee (Antoniette Greco), Jamie (Rhonda), Mark, Brett (Tracy) and Shelley (late Jim Scott); and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Schirripa (Paul). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
