She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Paul; her children, Mary Edmondstone (Daniel), Dr. John Blake (late Angela) and Halifax; her grandchildren, Thomas (Abby), Paul and James; her siblings, Beverly Nyberg and Patricia Bolger (Thomas); her parents, Lt. Colonel Dalton Johnston and Geraldine Casey of Peterborough; and her daughter Barbara.

Barbara Anita (Johnston) Blake died on March 30 at St. Joseph's Villa in Dundas from Alzheimer's Disease.
