He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Stewart and Mary Stewart (Thomlison); his stepfather Carl Sweet; and his brother Jamie Sweet. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Stewart (Etmanski); his children, Andrew James Stewart (Ashton) and Shawn Alexander Stewart of Kanata; his grandchildren, Griffin Andrew Stewart and Addison Catherine Stewart; his siblings, Patsy MacGarvey (Derrick) of Kinburn, Nancy Tourangeau (Rick) of Arnprior and David Sweet (Barb) of Maitland; his brother-in-law Kevin Etmanski (Nancy) of Kanata; and also, Andrew, Catherine Etmanksi of Barry's Bay and Jane Fleguel (Rick) of Barry's Bay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, the Canadian War Amps or to Diabetes Canada.
