He was predeceased by: his parents, Asmond Desjardins and Marie-Ange Lajeunesse; and his siblings, Lucielle (Guy Dionne), Denise (Raymond Vallière), Elphege (Reina Vincent), Robert and Richard.

He is survived by: his children, Denis (Lizanne), Lynne (Carole Gaudette) and Michelle (Denis Grenon); his grandchildren, Daniel, Pascalle, Danica, Janelle, Dominique, Nathaniel and Kieran; his great grandchildren, Cobie, Nash and Maci; and his sisters, Colette (George Pépin), Madeleine (Jean Labrosse) and Marthe (Armand Roy).

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
