He was predeceased by: his siblings, Margaret Wood and Harold McKnight. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sons, Douglas (Liz) and William McKnight (Paddy); and his extended family, Debbie, Michael (Sue), Terry (Nancy), Laurie (Myles) and Chris. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Due to Covid concerns, no Celebration of Life is planned at this time.
