He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret Jean (Beettam); his father Samuel Fredrick (Grace Marian); his siblings, Edythe Marian Gent and Robert Nelson; his nephews, Billy Gent and Rob Platts; his niece Robyn Gent; and his siblings, Audrey May MacAuthur, Herbert (Bud) and Phillip. He was also cherished by twenty-four nieces and nephews, thirty two great nieces and nephews, and seven great great nieces and nephews.
