He was predeceased by: his sibling Marie Patkus; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Kramers (late Louis), Reg Dick (Louise) and Douglas Dick; and his parent Florence "Flossie".

He is survived by: his spouse Donna; his child Dan Neilson (Lynn); his grandchildren, Lindsay and Taylor; his siblings, Frances Legg (Bill), Terry Reid (Betty) and Geraldine Brisebois (late Raymond); his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Kellington (Larry) and Gord Dick; and his parent Ervin Reid. He is also survived by his aunts and many nieces & nephews.
