He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathy; his children, Melanie Birch (Gavin), Katie Shampaign (Ken) and Matthew Sarkany (Ashlie); his grandchildren, Conor, Ella, Lucy, Isaiah, Kali and Brianna; his sister Sheila Ofield; his in-laws, Janet Zeppa and Michael Wall (Debbie); his parents, Joseph Wilkes and Ann Wilkes; and his friends, Kathy and Joe.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Linwell Church (335 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines, ON L2N1T6).
In lieu of flowers, memory donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or Ontario Rett Syndrome Association (in honour of his granddaughter Ella Birch).
