She was predeceased by: her husband Lloyd Hopkin; her children, Willis (Judi) of Kitchener and Mark; and her siblings, D. O. Cannard (Sarah) and Glen Cannard (Jean).
She is survived by: her children, Reg (Gaye) of Keswick, John of Mindemoya, Julia Lafontaine (Ron) of Mindemoya, Evan (Joyce) of Edmonton and Cherished; her grandchildren, Sean (Heidi), Travis (Julie), Sarah, Adam (Jenn), Rachel, Marsha (Tim), Lisa (Jeff), Mark (Teresa), Matt and Derek; and her great grandchildren, Allyson, Hayden, Nessa, Jordyn, Alex, Dean, Ellie, Jeremy, Jovie, Fiona, Taren, Arden and Corben.
Burial to follow in the Providence Bay Cemetery Donations may be made in Joy's honour to the Manitoulin Lodge Nursing home or to the Community of Christ Church.
