She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Sommerdyk; her child Glenn; and her brothers, Jan (late Toos) and Piet Banken (Leentje). She is survived by: her children, John (Elaine Bergin), Perry (Lori), Shelley Stephenson (Mike) and Bonnie Norton (Randy); and her siblings, Lien Mooren-Banken (late Martien) and Nellie Banken. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Laurence O'Toole Catholic Church (50 Centre St, Spencerville, ON K0E1X0).
