We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2020, Joseph Raymond Pitawanakwat of Spanish, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marina; his parents, Daniel and Margaret; his children, Freddrick Pitawanakwat, Louis Pitawanakwat of Sagamok and Dolores Chum (Roger) of Buzwah; his grandchildren, Cory Baa, Logan Baa, Christopher Baa and Boniface Jr. (Baa); and his great grandchild Sapphire Baa.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Lorraine Debassige (Adam) of M'Chigeeng and Muriel Wakegijig; his daughters, Deborah Shawanda (Mark) of Birch Island and Darlene Pitawanakwat of Buzwah; and his godchildren, Ryan Debassige (Crystal) of Zhiibaahaasing and Herman Wemigwans (Madeline). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild.
Cremation to follow All COVID-19 restrictions must be followed including social distancing, limited capacity, hand washing and mask wearing.
