He was predeceased by: his former wife June (Morrison); his son Steven; his parents, Wilfred Fortney and Louisa Fortney; and his sisters, Doreen (John) and Beatrice (Ray).
He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his son John (Garren); his daughter-in-law Jill; his siblings, Dolores, Rose Marie (Paul), B. C. and Patrick Ab (Wanda); and his parents-in-law, Elizabeth, Bob Bowerman and George Dunn.
He was especially committed to The Roman Catholic Church and Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation along with so many more.
