He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Stewart and Aileen Stewart; and his siblings, David Stewart, Thomas Stewart and Mildred Swick (Joseph).

He is survived by: his wife Theresa Stewart; his children, Mark (Jody) and Jennifer Stevenson; his grandchildren, Jacob Stevenson, Mikaila Stevenson and Chailynn Voigt-Stewart; his siblings, Walter Stewart (Luella), Carl Stewart (Janice), Leslie Stewart (Dorrie Murdoch), Ola Young and Melinda Stevens (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Stewart and Karen Stewart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
