He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell and Hilda; his siblings, Luella, Don and Fred; his mother-in-law Carolyn Brigden; his brother Ed's; his close friend Mike MacD; and also Anne Hearn (Archie).

He is survived by: his wife Lea; his sister Marie Sockett (Bob); his sister-in-law Dorothy Brintnell; his nephews, Kent and Kevin; and his niece Cheryl.

He created and donated the existing dart cupboards in the hall of RCL Br. 155 Southampton.
