He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean Berner; his father Ted Berner; his father-in-law James Clazie; his sister Tammy Berner; his brothers-in-law, John Clazie and Jamie Malcolm; and his granddaughter Stella Berner.
He is survived by: his sons, Andrew (Katrina) and Alec (Brittany); his grandchildren, Mason, Rosalee, Levi, Eleanor, Isabel and Lincoln; his mother Shirley Berner; and his mother-in-law Edna Clazie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
