She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Verdonk; her parents, Molly Shields and John Shields; her brother Jim Shields; her grandson Kory Kittel; and her brother-in-law John (Sandy Verdonk).
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Scholtz (Nadine), Anne Louise Taonax (Mike), Herman Jr. Verdonk (Kathy), Kelly Verdonk and John Zoldan Verdonk (Aura); her grandchildren, Cory, Craig, Katelyn, Claire (Tyler), Nevar, Dakota, Jackson, Matthew, Mayana, Melissa and Lucas; her former husband Doug Scholtz; her daughter-in-law Anna Zoldan Verdonk; and her siblings, Flora Becker (John), Dan Shields (Brenda) and Jackie Shields. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
