He was predeceased by: his sons, William "Sonny", Richard "Ricky" and Murray; his parents, William Wood and Edith Wood; and his sister Ida.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marie; his children, Rosemary (Brad), Bonnie (Marvin), Brian and Bettyann (Brian); his stepson Gordon; and his siblings, Norma, Charlie, Vera, Stella, Herb and Ivan. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
