He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Alexander and Lela Alexander; and his siblings, Harry, Doris, Marion and Shirley.

He is survived by: his wife Viola; his sons, Stephen (Donna) and Christian (Brenda); his grandchildren, Dr. Nathan Alexander, Matthew Bourassa, Tyffany Carbonne (Mark), Jayson Carbonne (Corinna) and Lindsay Biamonte (Luke); and his great grandchildren, Tessa, Tamar, Torah and Theah.
