It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Ian Shoesmith (Smithville, Ontario), who passed away on February 7, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Ian Shoesmith to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his brother Graham; and his sister-in-law Heather. He is survived by: his spouse Beverley Shoesmith; his stepchildren, Barbara Cosby (Robert), Bruce Matys (Pam) and Christine Matys-Ballinger (Andrew); his grandchildren, Steven Cosby (Kally), Adam Cosby (Jaclyn), Jennifer Degrow (Jim), Bryan Matys, Christopher Matys, Jacob Ballinger and Nolan Ballinger; and his brother Peter Shoesmith (Catherine). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Due to current Covid restrictions, visitation is required to be by booked appointment.

Memorial donations to St. Luke's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
