He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Melanson Swayze; and his siblings, Bob, Betty, Tom and Gert.
He is survived by: his children, Penny (Carl Hipkiss) and Paul (Lisa Melanson); his grandchildren, Ashley (Hipkiss), Geraint Kear, Jacob, Jaime and Jenna Melanson; and his siblings, Wray, Lois, Irene, Sue (Dave) and Cheryl (Bill). He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family and if desired can be made through the funeral home.
