She was predeceased by: her father Donald Matthews; and her sons, Thomas "Ted" and David Sheffield. She is survived by: her mother Eunice Matthews; her husband Bernie Gatien; her daughter Anna Smith (Jim); her grandchildren, TJ and David Smith; her children, Mary Anne Sheffield, Robert Sheffield (Andrea) and Greg Sheffield; her daughter-in-law Nancy Sheffield; her grandchildren, Christopher Troope, Nicholas Troope, Simon Sheffield and Rhiannon Sheffield (Annie); her daughter Catherine Sheffield; and also, Michelle, Erick Sheffield, Roxanne, Jason Michael and Kasey Sheffield. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
